Amanda Holden Hospitalised on Holiday

Amanda Holden ‘s holiday ended badly when she was whisked to hospital for an emergency operation after breaking her leg in two places.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge was attempting to complete a Total Wipeout-style inflatable assault course when she suffered the terrible accident.

The 48-year-old snapped her fibula in two places while she was playing with her seven-year-old daughter Hollie.

The star, who also presents the Heart FM breakfast show, was rushed to hospital by her record producer husband Chris Hughes, where she had to have a metal plate fitted in her leg.

Amanda has been left with her leg in a plaster and having to use crutches, but she’s vowed to be back on the radio with her co-host Jamie Theakston next Monday morning.

A source told The Sun : “Amanda was enjoying some well-earned family time and was throwing herself into playing with her daughters at the seaside.

“She lost her footing while climbing on an inflatable assault course with her daughter and fell into the sea.”

The source said Amanda received “urgent medical attention at a hospital” and that she “just wants to be at home and in her own bed where she can rest up.”

Amanda confirmed her predicament in a statement, saying: “Sadly this is true.

“I suffered a nasty accident while playing in the sea with the family during our half-term holiday and subsequently broke my leg in two places.
